Shortness of breath.

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female

Very large, lobulated enhancing right atrial mass which extends into the pericardial space. Large pericardial effusion. Subtle rounded lesion in hepatic segment 4A. 

Case Discussion

Tragic case of a pathologically proven right atrial angiosarcoma in a young patient, resulting in a malignant pericardial effusion. Although relatively subtle, a sizable portion of the mass extends beyond the right atrial border and into the pericardial space.
