Right le Fort 1 fracture and left Le Fort 2 fracture

Case contributed by Dr David Clemo Steel

Car accident.

Patient Data

Age: 70
Gender: Male

Coronal images show bilateral fracture of pterygoid processes, that highly suggests Le Fort fracture.

Bilateral fracture of anterolateral margins of nasal fossa indicates bilateral Le Fort 1, and fracture of left inferior orbital margin indicates left Le Fort 2. Anterior and posterolateral margin of left maxillary sinus are broken.

Zygomatic arches are intact, thus excluding Le Fort 3 fracture.
