Presentation

Right renal colic with hematuria.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male

An oval-shaped radiodense stone is seen at the junction between upper 2/3 and lower 1/3 of the right ureter measuring about 0.5 x 1 cm along its maximum diameters and eliciting a density of about (690 HU) associated with marked dilatation of the right pelvicalyceal system and proximal part of the right ureter.

The left kidney shows a tiny upper calyceal stone with no back pressure changes.
