54 year old female pre-op chest film for a right hip fracture.

Gender: Female
Frontal radiography shows a right paratracheal density (black arrow) with minimal leftward tracheal deviation in this patient with a known right-sided aortic arch since birth. 

Case Discussion

right sided aortic arch is a type of aortic arch variant which thought to occur in approximately 0.05-0.2% of the population.
