Presentation

Patient treating for metastatic breast cancer. Staging CT.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Female

Multiple scattered bone lytic lesions in keeping with metastatic disease.

The lungs are clear with no signs of metastatic disease.

No confluent consolidation, pleural effusions or pneumothorax.

No axillary or mediastinal lymphadenopathy.

No pericardial effusion.

As an anatomical variant, there is a right-sided aortic arch with aberrant left subclavian artery associated with Kommerell's diverticulum.

As an incidental finding, there is a right-sided aortic arch with aberrant left subclavian artery associated with Kommerell's diverticulum. Together these findings constitute a type II right-sided aortic arch. It can rarely cause esophageal and/or tracheal compression.
