Right upper lobe collapse

Retired male smoker with shortness of breath.

Patient Data

Age: 68
Gender: Male

Volume loss in the right hemithorax.

Right upper lobe opacification with a sharply delineated margin in keeping with a elevated and medially oriented horizontal fissue.

Elevated right hilum.

Left lung clear.

Case Discussion

Textbook appearance of a right upper lobe collapse.

Further evaluation for an underlying obstructive endobronchial mass is a necessity.
