Right upper lobe pneumonia

Patchy airspace consolidation in the right upper lobe outlining the horizontal fissure with minor obscuration of the right superior mediastinum. Air bronchograms are noted. This has developed from prior chest x-ray (not shown) five days earlier, which was normal.
Case Discussion
Consolidation can be localized easily on frontal x-rays with basic knowledge of the silhouette sign and lung anatomy.
