Presentation
Pain in shoulder
Patient Data
Supraspinatus tendinosis with small partial thickness articular surface tear of mid fibers at the attachment site. It involves approx. 20% thickness, measures approx. 4.8 mm in transverse and 7 mm in anteroposterior dimension.
Mild underlying cortical irregularity is seen at the attachment site.
Mild infraspinatus tendinosis is also seen with no obvious tear.
Mildly downsloping, type II acromion process is seen with mild acromioclavicular joint arthropathy, eburnation along articular aspects and subchondral marrow edema (more pronounced in distal clavicle).
Mild subacromial-subdeltoid bursitis is seen.
Subscapularis and biceps tendon are unremarkable.
Glenoid labrum is unremarkable.
Major myofascial structures around shoulder joint appear normal.
Case Discussion
Supraspinatus tendinosis with small partial thickness articular surface tear of mid fibers at the attachment site, the so called Rim rent tear.
Mildly downsloping, type II acromion process with mild acromioclavicular joint arthropathy, eburnation along articular aspects and subchondral marrow edema (more pronounced in distal clavicle).
Mild subacromial-subdeltoid bursitis.
