The Robinson classification of clavicle fractures is divided into 12 types:
- type 1A1: medial 1/5 undisplaced extra-articular fracture
- type 1A2: medial 1/5 undisplaced intra-articular fracture
- type 1B1: medial 1/5 displaced extra-articular fracture
- type 1B2: medial 1/5 displaced intra-articular fracture
- type 2A1: intermediate 3/5 undisplaced fracture
- type 2A2: intermediate 3/5 angulated fracture
- type 2B1: intermediate 3/5 displaced simple or butterfly fracture
- type 2B2: intermediate 3/5 displaced segmental or comminuted fracture
- type 3A1: lateral 1/5 undisplaced extra-articular fracture
