Presentation

Known case of COPD presented witd exacerbation of dyspnea

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Male
ct

CT scan shows right pleural effusion associated with pleural thickening which indicates loculated and complicated exudative pleural effusion in the right hemithorax.

There are several peripheral bullae representing paraseptal emphysema in the upper lobes of both lungs. There are also centrilobular emphysematous changes bilateraly and fibrotic bands in the anterior segment of the right upper lobe. 

A round consolidation is seen at the lower zone of right lung which indicates round atelectasis.
