Presentation

Chronic cough.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Male
ct

Right minimal pleural effusion with surrounding pleural enhancement and thickening.

Round enhancing opacity in right lung lower lobe basal segments adjacent to a pleural surface (4.8 x 4.2 x 3.5 cm).

The rest of the lung fields are clear. There is no evidence of pleural thickening or effusion on the left side. No pneumothorax. No suspected lesion is seen in the imaged bony skeleton.

Case Discussion

Right pleural minimal collection and possible thickening with round atelectasis in right lung lower lobe.

Unfortunately, no pathologic study of pleura/pleural fluid was available.
