Rounded region of consolidation is seen in the right anterior segment of the upper lobe.
Case Discussion
The main reason round pneumonia is important in both adults, and especially children is that it needs to be distinguished from more sinister causes such as metastases and invasive or high radiation investigations (e.g. CT scans) can be avoided.
