Ruptured ACA aneurysm

Presentation

Sudden headache, loss of consciousness.

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female

NECT brain

ct

Non-contrast CT shows blood collection located in the anterior part of interhemispheric fissure, in suprasellar cystern, along falx cerebri and left tentorium cerebelli.

CTA brain

ct

CTA of the brain shows saccular aneurysm of left ACA. Other cerebral arteries is unremarkable.

Case Discussion

The patient has a rupture of a saccular ACA aneurysm complicated by subarachnoid hemorrhage. Classical clinical presentation is  sudden headache often described as 'the worst I've ever had' or 'thunderclap'.
