Patient Data
There is an extra-axial right supra-sellar well-defined cystic lesion with fat density, associated with fat attenuation material in the subarachnoid spaces.
MRI demonestrate disseminated fatty droplets within the subarachnoid spaces. There is a well-defined cystic lesion at right suprasellar region that shows fat signal intensity on all sequences.
Case Discussion
Many intracranial dermoid cysts are asymptomatic and are found incidentally. Spontaneous, traumatic or iatrogenic rupture may occure, resulting in aseptic chemical meningitis.
Goldenhar syndrome may be associated with dermoid cyst, due to their related embryological origion.
