Uterus was of normal size with normal endometrial thickness. There was no evidence of intrauterine gestational sac. A heterogeneous lesion was noted arising from the right adnexa surrounding the uterus. Ovaries were not visualized separately. Moderate free fluid with fine internal echoes noted, consistent with hemoperitoneum.
Case Discussion
The urine pregnancy test was weakly positive.
Emergency laparotomy was performed, which confirmed ruptured right ovarian ectopic pregnancy.
