Free intraperitoneal hyperdense fluid in keeping with hemoperitoneum.
Contrast extravasation within the gallbladder where there is a large hematoma and gallbladder rupture with hematoma located within and external to the gallbladder.
Possible grade 1 splenic laceration superiorly. Small volume perisplenic fluid.
Case Discussion
The patient proceeded to laparotomy, which confirmed the gallbladder rupture. This is an uncommon injury in blunt abdominal trauma and most often occurs in combination with other injuries.
