Ruptured subscapularis tendon with long head of biceps tendon dislocation

Pain and limited shoulder mobility

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Male

Moderate amount of joint effusion, complete rupture of the subscapularis tendon with tendon and muscular retraction forming a 15 mm gap. Empty bicipital groove with the long head of biceps tendon is identified medially. Localized abnormal signal  of the pre insertional supraspinatus tendon is demonstrated in both T2 and PD fat sat images suggesting element of tendonosis.

Case Discussion

Complete tear of the Subscapularis tendon with dislocated long head of biceps tendon and Supraspinatus tendinitis.
