Presentation
History of scrotal pain for past 1 week. No history of trauma or fever.
Patient Data
A heterogeneous fluid collection (approximate volume 16 ml) noted in the left testis. Increased vascularity noted in the residual testicular parenchyma (not shown in these images). A breach noted in the testicular parenchymal wall. Another collection (approximate volume 12 ml) seen within the tunica vaginalis, adjacent to the breach in the testicular wall.
Testicular abscess with rupture of testicular parenchyma and extension of the collection into the extratesticular space.
Case Discussion
Testicular abscess is a rare complication of epididymo-orchitis and the rupture is found to be extremely rare.
