Sciatic nerve root block. Under fluoroscopic guidance, a needle is advanced through the posterior sacral foramen until the pain is reproduced. Perineural and extradural location is confirmed with an injection of a small amount of contrast, following which a mixture of bupivacaine and betamethasone were injected.
