An extradural cystic lesion with a signal similar to the CSF is present at the level of the sacrum. There are morphological changes in the sacral vertebral bodies consistent with posterior scalloping. The lesion extends in to the L5-S1 right neural foramen displacing but not encircling the nerve root anteriorly. This is most likely responsible for the patient's radiculopathy.
Case Discussion
Based on the MRI findings the lesion was classified type Ib spinal meningeal cyst.
