Sacral tumour with lung metastases

Case contributed by Dr Jeremy Jones

Case Discussion

A 5 year old presented with a buttock mass initially presumed to be an abscess.

AXR revealed a destructive lesion of the sacrum with widening of the interpedicular distance in the lumbar vertebrae.

Additionally, the CXR revealed multiple soft tissue densities which are presumably metastases from an invading sacral tumour.
