Trauma to the right ankle.

Patient Data

Age: 14 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

Fracture through the posterior aspect of the tibial metaphysis, extending to the growth plate. Normal appearance of the ankle joint.

Case Discussion

Radiographic feature of Salter-Harris fracture type II which is by far the most common type (~75%) with good prognosis.
