Missed kicking ball and kicked wall instead. Sore great toe. Hobbling.

Salter Harris II fracture of the distal phalynx.

Case Discussion

Salter Harris fractures are commonly seen in children. Distal phalangeal fractures only make up a small proportion.

These are easily overlooked if the reporter isn't careful.
