Basal metaphyseal fracture of the proximal phalanx of the 3rd digit, reaching the physeal line in keeping with a Salter-Harris type II frature.
Case Discussion
Salter-Harris type II fractures are the most common type (approximately 75%) of physeal fractures that occur in children. There is a fracture that extends through the physis and into a portion of the metaphysis.
