Child with painful right arm following a fall.

Fracture through the growth plate with a small extension through the metaphysis consistent with a Salter Haris type II fracture.

Arrow points to a small triangle of metaphyseal bone which has followed the epiphysis, thus making this a Salter Haris type II fracture.

Note the small triangle of bone which has fractured off the metaphysis and followed the epiphysis, distinguishing a Salter-Harris type II fracture from type 1 injuries.
