Presentation

Neck pain in patient with known osteopetrosis.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male

Cervical spine

Note marked loss of T1 and T2 signal in the endplates of all vertebrae.

Case Discussion

Sandwich vertebrae, seen in autosomal dominant osteopetrosis, appearance resembles rugger jersey spine but can be differentiated by being denser and more sharply defined.
