The case is a 30-year-old male suffering from left side wrist pain two weeks after a sports activity, MRI requested and scaphoid bone fracture detected. A scaphoid bone fracture can lead to avascular necrosis of proximal bone fragment, non-union, and secondary arthrosis and can be easily missed early after trauma and most occult fractures can be detected at two weeks. Plain x-ray scaphoid view, isotope bone scan, and MRI are complementary for fracture evaluation.
