Fall with wrist pain.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male

On these scaphoid projections, there is subtle linear lucency at the scaphoid waist, concerning for a nondisplaced fracture.

ct

Non-contrast volume acquisition. Undisplaced lateral cortical fracture of the scaphoid waist best seen on the sagittal reformats. No other fracture identified. Alignment within normal limits.

mri

Undisplaced fracture through the scaphoid waist. Tiny adjacent joint effusion. Scapholunate ligament is intact. No other fracture identified. Alignment within normal limits.
