Fracture of the proximal pole of the scaphoid.
Case Discussion
Despite the high scaphoid STIR signal, the preserved bone marrow signal of the proximal pole on T1WI with a signal similar to the other carpal bones excludes the presence of AVN and ensures the viability of the scaphoid bone.
