Scaphoid fracture

Acute minimally displaced scaphoid fracture at the level of the waist with associated bone marrow edema. Avascular necrosis could not be ruled out since contrast was not administrated.
Lunate and triquetrum bone marrow edema.
Subtle signs of dorsal intercalated segmental instability (DISI).

Acute waist scaphoid fracture minimally displaced in a patient with wrist x-ray initially interpreted as normal, with no follow-up and persistent pain at the dorsal aspect of the base of the thumb.
