Scapholunate ganglion cyst

Presentation

Wrist pain for about 6 months. Local swelling in the last 2 months.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Female
ultrasound

Lobulated anechoic well-defined lesion is noted on the dorsal aspect of the wrist.

The neck of the lesion shows an extension to the scapholunate joint. As compared to the asymptomatic right side, left symptomatic scapholunate ligament shows a truncated appearance.

Lesion abuts the ulnar border of extensor carpi radialis longus tendon. The distal bulbous part of lesion overlies the distal carpal row.
