Dorsal wrist pain.

Patient Data

Age: 11 years
Gender: Female

Loculated dorsal ganglion cyst overlying the carpus measuring 3 x 9 x 19 mm arising from a partial tear of the dorsal band scapholunate ligament. 

Case Discussion

The wrist is a common location for ganglion cysts, with many cysts demonstrating a neck or pedicle to the scapholunate ligament connecting the cyst to the joint.
