The clinically visible nodule is a well-defined, lobulated, thin-walled, anechoic, avscular lesion located at the scaphotrapezial joint. There is a small incomplete septum in the lesion. Acoustic enhancement is present. Its pedicle extends to the scaphoidtrapezial joint. The adjacent flexor carpi radialis tendon is normal.
Case Discussion
The case shows a volar wrist ganglion cyst from the scaphoidtrapezial joint. A ganglion cyst is the most common mass lesion in the wrist and hand.
