Patient Data

Age: 50
Gender: Male

Lucency through the scapular spine consistent with fracture. Normal AC and glenohumeral joint alignment. 


Fracture through the scapular spine involving the base of the coracoid process without extension to the glenoid fossa. No dislocation. 

Case Discussion

Scapular fractures are typically the result of high energy trauma and are often associated with other fractures of the shoulder girdle or thorax.
