Presentation

Hematology patient on treatment. Fever and shortness of breath.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

Lucent, expansile, well defined lesion in the body of the right scapula.  Minimal cortical destruction.

No other focal bone lesion.

Lungs clear.

Case Discussion

Plasmacytomas are a discrete, solitary mass of neoplastic monoclonal plasma cells in either bone or soft tissue and viewed as a singular form of multiple myeloma.
