Schizencephaly - bilateral open lip

Developmental delay.

Patient Data

Age: 6 months
Gender: Female

Right large open-lip schizencephaly.
Left smaller open lip schizencephaly.
Absent septum pellucidum.
Faint cortical calcification in right frontal lobe. 
Prominent lateral ventricles

Case Discussion

A case of bilateral open lip schizencephaly with features with absent septum pellucidum.

The evaluation of corpus callosum and its possible pathologies is relatively difficult on CT images and can be well-depicted with MRI.
