The MRI sequences demonstrate a soft tissue mass at the C5-C6 level, visible at the left neural exit foramen, extending along the C6 nerve root with the paravertebral component. It appears of intermediate signal intensity on T1WI, inhomogeneous high signal intensity on T2WI with moderate, and heterogeneous enhancement following IV contrast. The adjacent segment of the spinal cord is not compressed.
A small right paracentral disc herniation at the C6-C7 level.
Case Discussion
MRI features suggestive of a C6 nerve schwannoma.
