Case contributed by Dr Ian Bickle

Know prostate carcinoma. Increasing pelvic pain.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Male

Coarsening and sclerosis of the entire pelvis and visualized lumbar spine.

Urinary catheter in situ.

Case Discussion

In an elderly male these appearances are of diffuse infiltrative sclerotic metastases from a prostate carcinoma primary.

A differential does exist, but this will be right almost always in this patient demographic.
