Scrotal hernia containing left ureter

Presentation

Born with a large scrotal mass

Patient Data

Age: newborn
Gender: Male
Modality: CT

Presence of left ureter in the left side of scrotum. The left ureter made a loop inside the scrotum before entering the bladder. Reconstructed coronal and sagittal images confirm the finding.

Modality: X-ray

Plain x-ray abdomen showing  a large scrotal mass.

Case Discussion

Ultrasound of the abdomen (not attached here) showed  left hydronephrosis. USG Scrotum showed bilateral hydrocele with a tubular structure in the left inguinal hernial sac.

A C.T. scan abdomen confirmed the presence of left ureter in the left side of scrotum. The left ureter made a loop inside the scrotum before entering the bladder. Reconstructed coronal and sagittal images confirm the finding.
