Normal alignment of the pelvis and hip joints. No fracture.
Large midline metallic ring foreign body projected over the external genitalia represents a scrotal ring, confirmed by asking the patient.
Case Discussion
Penile and scrotal rings can cause complications, representing a progressive sequence secondary due to strangulation:
- delayed detumescence edema
- ischemia
- necrosis
- gangrene
Long term complications include:
- urinary dysfunction
- sexual dysfunction
