Presentation
Scrotal pain, swelling for five days. No trauma. No fever. Diabetes mellitus under treatment.
Patient Data
Mid line wall of scrotum shows an irregular collection with mobile echoes. Perilesional hypervascularity is noted in wall.
LEFT testis - about 12 ml - No solid lesion. An ill-defined hypoechoic area is noted in upper polar region devoid of vascularity.
RIGHT testis - about 5 ml - No solid lesion. Replaced predominantly by hypoechoic echopattern without vascularity. Few normal echopattern islands of parenchyma show preserved vascularity.
No hydrocele is noted on either side.
Case Discussion
Findings favor mid line scrotal wall abscess.
Right small testis with areas of chronic infarction.
Possibility of left testicular focal infarction in upper pole.
