Presentation

Asymptomatic patient. Left epididymis cyst surveillance.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male
Ultrasound

Both testes and right epididymis (not shown) are normal. There is a small simple cyst on the head of left epididymis. There is free fluid (hydrocele) with fine echoes within the left scrotum. In addition to several small mobile stones, free-floating, outside of the testicle.

Case Discussion

Free stones within the left scrotum correspond to scrotoliths also known as scrotal pearls or scrotal calculi, an incidental finding. These calcifications have no clinical significance 1.
