Presentation

G2P1 at 17 weeks gestation. Routine ultrasound.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female

Recordings from the fetus with 2:1 second-degree atrioventricular block, demonstrate the regular slow ventricular rhythm (69 bpm) and the faster atrial rhythm (136 bpm).

Conducted atrial beats are followed by non conducted beats. The a-a interval does not vary, and the P-R interval does not lengthen before the non conducted beat.

Case Discussion

Mobitz 2, second-degree AV block with 2:1 AV conduction demonstrated by pulsed-Doppler interrogation of mitral inflow and aortic outflow in the LVOT view.
