Presentation

2-3 month history of inability to weight-bear.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

Lytic lesion involving proximal femur. The lesion has a narrow zone of transition at the inferior aspect. Multiple areas of subtle cortical breach are seen on the medial aspect suggestive of pathological fracture. Perpendicular striations are seen medially suggestive of "sunburst" type of periosteal reaction.
