Presentation

Systemically well with incidental finding of upper abdominal mass.

Patient Data

Age: 64
Gender: Female

CT aortogram shows large gastroduodenal artery aneurysm (long arrows) and string-of-beads appearance of left gastroepiploic artery (short arrow), confirming the diagnosis of segmental arterial mediolysis.

DSA image during coil embolization of the gastroduodenal artery (GDA). The branches of the GDA are selected and embolized to prevent collateral aneurysm filling.

Case Discussion

Large incidentally discovered gastroduodenal artery aneurysm in a patient with segmental arterial mediolysis. Aneurysm successfully treated with coil embolization.
