Case Discussion
Segond fracture is characterized by a small avulsion, or "chip", a fragment that is best seen on the anterior-posterior view.
There is a high incidence of ACL injury in this fracture so the MRI may be useful for visualization of the associated findings of ligamentous and/or meniscal injury.
