Incidental bony spur protruding anteriorly from the central portion of the dorsum sellae (sellar spine).
Case Discussion
It is assumed that sellar spine's origin comes from the calcification of a notochordal remnant.
Commonly, it does not produce symptoms; however, there have been reports of cases where they are associated with endocrinopathies.
Among the differentials to take into account we have the calcified lesions of the sella turcica such as pituitary stones.
