Semitendinosis tendon tear post ACL graft

Presentation

Severe postero-medial pain after sport. PH of ACL reconstruction using "hamstring" tendon as the donor site.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male
Modality: MRI

ACL graft is intact (arrow).  Semitendinosis tendon is ruptured distally and has retracted (arrows) with marked oedema, fluid and swelling.  This tendon was used as the donor site for the ACL graft.  It has been weakened by the surgery and subsequently ruptured.
