Septic arthritis of the sacroiliac joint and pubic symphysis

The MRI sequences demonstrate;
- subchondral bone marrow edema with enhancement of both surfaces of the left sacroiliac joint with joint effusion, and adjacent small abscess formation
- edematous infiltration of the ipsilateral iliopsoas, obturator internus, and piriformis muscles with swelling and enhancement of the sciatic nerve
- Â enhancement of the pubic symphysis in keeping with septic arthritis with osteomyelitis of the adjacent pubic bones
A small right ovarian cyst is noted.
