Presentation

Abdominal pain and weight loss.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Female

A 45 × 38 mm multicystic mass with lobulated margin is noted at pancreatic head. After contrast media injection, subtle enhancement of internal septations are visible. No delayed enhancement is noted. Distal portion of pancreas is unremarkable. No pancreatic duct dilatation is present. No apparent evidence of local invasion is noted.

Pathology-proven case of serous cystadenoma of the pancreas (also known as microcystic adenoma), which is an uncommon type of benign cystic pancreatic neoplasm.
